Langemeier HOOPER Funeral services for Edwin C.

Langemeier, 85, of Hooper, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Hooper. Mr. Langemeier died Monday, June 5, 1989, at the Hooper Care Center.

He was a retired farmer. Mr. Langemeier was born Dec. 6, 1903, in rural Hooper. He grew up there and farmed north of Hooper for 54 years, until moving into Hooper in 1985.

He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Hooper and was church secretary for 19 years. He was also a member of Lutheran Laymans League; Dodge County Extension Board; past president of District 16 School for many years; past member of Everett Township Board and was a 4-H leader. He married Elizabeth Meyer Feb. 5, 1931, in West Point.

She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Leon of Billings, Roland of Schuyler and David of Lincoln; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Mary) Kuhn of Lincoln; a brother, Walter of Scribner; 21 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. The Rev. Kenneth Emstmeyer will officiate Thursdays services.

Visitation is in progress until 9 tonight at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Vera Hanson OAKLAND Vera Hanson, 97, of Oakland, died Tuesday, June 6, 1989, at Oakland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are pending at Palmquist Funeral Home in Oakland.

Caroline Lahmann was born June 23, 1926, in Yutan. She was a lifetime resident of Fremont. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1944, DoW then worked at the former S. S. Kresge and Jupiter Department stores for 20 years.

She whs a licensed day care provider for 21 years and a member of Salem Lutheran Church. She married Paul Doty March 19, 1950, in Fremont. He survives. Other survivors include a son, David of Stapleton; a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Beverly) Krutz of Orchard; two sisters, Mrs.

Or-lan (Ruth) Miller and Anna Werst, both of Fremont; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church. The Rev. J.

W. Berry will officiate. Visitation will 3 to 9 tonight and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Moser Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the church and the American Cancer Society. Paul S. Rinas ARLINGTON Paul S. Rinas, 78, of Arlington, died Tuesday, June 6, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

Funeral services are pending at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Leonard Young Leonard Bill Young, 77, of Fremont, died this morning, June 7, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge Countys Skilled Care Center. The watchdog group, of which Jaksha is president, has monitored Nebraska state government spending practices the past decade. Jaksha said he wrote the book during the past 32 to four years after many years of research. Ive been working on it for a long time maybe all my life, he said. The subject is something Ive dealt with rather consistently over the years. Jaksha said he had accumulated file cabinets full of information relating to whats in his book.

Its been a long time coming, but Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman is finally going to be a graduate. The Santa Monica College board voted unanimously Monday to give an honorary associate in arts degree to Hoffman, who enrolled in 1955 Hoffman to study music but changed to theater arts and never graduated. Hoffman has been nominated six times for Academy Awards, including The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, Lenny and Tootsie. I believe in and encourage the use of the normal political process, the legislative process, he said. But when all else fails in the United States, we have the petition process available.
