Almanac OBITUARIES Adolph Spale SCHUYLER Adolph Spale, of Schuyler, died Monday morning at his home after a long ilIness. Mr. Spale was born April 29, 1900 in Clarkson. He lived in the Clarkson and Schuyler areas all his life and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and K.D.

Lodge No. 40 of Wilson. He married Marie Parolek on April 12, 1926 at Abie. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs.

Bud (Rita) Sindelar of Dakota City; a son, Richard of Schuyler; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Albie) Janousek of Clarkson and Mrs. Amelia Kacin of Schuyler; two brothers, James Harvey From Page A1 education and care in rural areas. He was born Oct. 26, 1884, on a farm near Webster.

He moved to North Bend from Webster in 1900 and graduated from North Bend High School in 1903. He attended Bellevue College in Bellevue for four years and taught high school in Fergus Fall, from 1907 to 1909. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical School from 1909 to 1913 and moved to Craig in July 1913. He moved to Fremont in 1915 and built his home here the next year. He retired five years ago.

Dr. Harvey' was a 70-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He joined the George Armstrong Lodge No. 241 in Craig on Sept. 15, 1914, and became affiliated with Fremont Lodge No.

15 on June 6, 1916. In 1973 he received the bronze Jordan Medal, which is awarded to the oldest living Mason in Nebraska. He was a 70-year member of the Blue Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star, the last 64 years of which he was affiliated with Arbor Vitae Chapter No. 92. Dr.

Harvey served as Worthy Patron for several years. Dr. Harvey was a 64-year member of the Hiram Council No. 7. Cryptic Masonry of Nebraska; the York Rite Signet No.

8 of Royal Arch Masons; and the Mt. Tabor Commandery No. 9, Knights Templar. For more than 50 years, he was a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Omaha and the Tangier Temple of the Shrine, also of Omaha. DAILY REPORT Police 1600 block of N.

I was damaged in a hit and run. Ronald J. McKenzie, 924 N. Main reported that his parked car was removed from the Fremont Senior High School parking lot, 16th Street and Lincoln of Columbus and Joseph of Schuyler; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.

Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Schuyler. The Rev. Don Shane will officiate. Burial will be at St.

Mary's Cemetery in Wilson. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday and last until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kucera-Rozanek Chapel in Schuyler. Visitation will also be from 2 p.m.

Wednesday until service time Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A rosary for St. Mary's Guild will be said at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Another rosary for the parish, Knights of Columbus and K.D.'s will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. He also volunteered as an attending physician for the MasonicEastern Star Home for Children. Dr. Harvey was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Fremont, the Fremont 'Rotary Club and local, state and national medical associations.

He joined the Fremont Rotary Club' in 1926 and served as president in 1939 and 1940. He was made a Paul Harris "Fellow" in 1976. He served on the Fremont School Board for several years and on the county Selective Service Board during World War World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. Dr. married Mabel Thom of North Bend on Oct.

22, 1913. She died Jan. 29, 1973. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thure (Dorothy) Widegren of Columbus, sons, Dr.

Alex Harvey of Fremont and Dr. Donald Harvey of Omaha; six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Presbyterian Church in Fremont with the Rev. John W.

Swearingin officiating. Masonic services will be conducted by Fremont Lodge No. 15 A.F. A.M. at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The public may attend. Visitation at the funeral home will be 1-9 p.m. Wednesday, 8-10 a.m. Thursday and for an hour before the funeral in the church.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in North Bend. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Avenue, and damage done to it. Estimated damage $222. Berenice O.

Sheriff An employee of Strate Brothers, North Bend, reported the theft of an antique pot-bellied stove from a storage building near U.S. 30 and County Road 4. Estimated value $125. Alma J. Zieg, Scribner, reported that vandals damaged the front door of her residence.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures at 4 a.m. CST ranged from around 20 in the northwest to the lower 30s in the southeast. Valentine was the cold spot at 17 while North Omaha was relatively mild at 36.

Winds were mostly southerly at speeds around 5 mph but were expected to pick up as the day went along. A large area of cool high pressure over the southern Plains will drift into the southeastern United States by tonight.
